- What is the Smile Protection Plan?
The program provides a convenient way for patients to receive annual replacements of their custom-made Vivera retainers to protect their orthodontic treatment results.
- Why Replace Retainers?
Regular replacement keeps your retainer cleaner, fresher, and better-fitting by reducing micro-scratches and bacteria build-up.
- Benefits of the program
A brand-new retainer is shipped directly to you every year with no cost shipping. This gives you an extra one if your retainer is still in great shape, or if yours is worn out, you can then replace it. While under subscription, you will also receive 50% off repairs or replacement of fixed retainers and any additional removable Vivera retainers that are purchased outside of subscription.
- Do I need retainers after orthodontic treatment?
Yes. Experts say that retention is a lifelong process. Your teeth can gradually shift back toward their original positions after treatment with braces or clear aligners, and retainers prevent this from happening. It is recommended to wear retainers for life to keep your teeth in their new position, and the subscription ensures you have a fresh retainer readily available.
- Can anyone use the program? The subscription is available to our patients who have had their teeth aligned with either traditional braces or Invisalign. We may require a new scan of your teeth.
- How often will I receive new retainers?
You will receive it every 12 months.
- How will I receive my retainers?
The first set of retainers will be delivered to you in the office and then shipped directly to your home 12 months later.
- What if I lose or break a retainer?
The subscription is designed to equip you with replacements. Many initial retainer orders come with multiple sets, depending on when you subscribe, so you will always have a backup. Should you lose or break your retainer, extra ones are available from your doctor for an additional fee.
- Will the program accommodate multiple retainers?
Yes. Vivera retainers can be created to fit over permanent retainers (fixed lingual wires) that are bonded to the back of your teeth.
Program costs and payment
- How much does the subscription cost?
The price varies depending on when you select the subscription. Prices are often less expensive than ordering individual sets of retainers separately.
- Are there different payment options?
The fee is a one-time payment annually.
- Is a setup or enrollment fee required?
The fee will be waived for patients who enroll in the Smile Protection Plan before or at debond.
- What if I opt out and then decide I want back in? What will the fee be?
The fee will be the current fee for anyone who signs up after the debond has taken place.
- Will the subscription price increase annually?
Most likely, with inflation.
Program management
- How do I sign up?
After a scan is performed, we will send you an email with an enrollment link to the My.Invisalign.com website, where you can select your subscription.
- How do I manage my account?
You can manage your subscription, including making changes to your plan, by logging in to your account at My.Invisalign.com.
- Will the subscription automatically be renewed?
Yes. The program is set to auto-renew annually unless you choose to opt out. You can change your auto-renewal settings at any time.
- Can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time via your My.Invisalign.com account or by contacting us directly. However, if you cancel within 7 business days of your next scheduled shipment, you will still be charged for that order.
- What if I cancel after paying for the full year?
You will receive the retainer that you paid for, as it is only charged once fabricated, and then there will be no future payments or retainers shipped.
- Account creation: A unique email address is required for each subscriber, so if you have multiple people in your household, each needs a separate account.
