Dr. Sobouti received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2009. As the top student in his class, he was admitted directly to the Orthodontic Specialty program at TUMS, the oldest and top-ranked orthodontic program in Iran. He passed the National Orthodontic Board Exam in 2012 and started his own private practice, where he treated over 7000 patients. Simultaneously, he served several important roles at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, including Head of the Orthodontic Department. He has supervised more than 55 theses and published more than 75 research papers in various prestigious orthodontic journals.
In 2016, Dr. Sobouti married his wife, Sepideh (who is also an orthodontist), and subsequently made the decision to move to Canada. They live in the Yorkville area, very close to our office. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dental Specialists of Canada and a certified member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. He teaches once a week at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Sobouti is a former member of the Iranian Youth National Swimming team and continues to train in his spare time. He is a big soccer fan and passionately follows all international matches. Don’t ask him about soccer unless you are ready for a long conversation!
