What makes SureSmile different?

The team at Davis Orthodontics was the first practice in Canada to offer SureSmile, a high-tech digital technological wonder! It can reduce treatment time by up to 40 percent. In addition, SureSmile also reduces the number of office visits and adjustments and thereby reduces discomfort.

Sure Smile is a three-part system. A high-definition video camera takes a 3-D image of the teeth which comes up on a computer. Adjustments are made on the computer where the doctors can manipulate the teeth in any direction needed instead of bending wire inside the patients mouth. Once the doctor decides which movements will lead to perfectly straightened teeth, the press of a button activates a robot in Dallas to bend the wire at around 1000 degrees celcius to the specifications requested. When finished, the product is shipped back to Davis Orthodontics.

The wire was developed by NASA engineers. The robot is made by the same experts whom make the BMW car. Dr. Kevin Davis began using SureSmile in Canada after meeting the original engineers at Harvard.
